Hi Guy's

I've seen in Information regarding 350 watts being the most Bulgarians can use on some HF bands BUT I've also heard some Bulgarian Hams saying they are using 800 watts or even 1KW so what's the MAX a Bulgarian Ham can use on HF Legally ????

I've looked at this PDF for information

Hi Rob,
Here is an english version of technical requirements to carrying out electronic communications through Amateur Service equipment --> http://www.crc.bg/files/_en/RESHENIE_12 ... q1212_.pdf

Source: http://www.crc.bg/section.php?lang=en&id=263

It's not an updated version, there are some differences between those documents, but it will help you to understand our regulations.
Chapter II
Rights and Obligations

3. A class 1 radio amateur with length of service at least 5 years has the right, when participating in radio amateur contests, to use a radio transmitter with output power up to 1000 W (30 dBW) in fixed operational mode in the frequency bands as per Appendix No1 from the designated place under strict compliance with the norms of electromagnetic safety.

So to keep everyone updated I've seen this and thought it should be posted here just incase anyone missed it

From 18th January 2019, New Technical Requirements has been published from Bulgarian Ministry of Communication.

Due to great commitment of BFRA now Bulgarian Amateurs have obtained some important changes :

Removed the age limit for the acquisition of Class 2 license (VHF and UHF with a power of not more than 5 watts, and HF from a club radio station).

Established a minimum age of fourteen to obtain Class A license (All bands with full legal power)

Removed the mandatory 6-month period between the Class 2 and Class 1 exams.

Significant increase in the power allowed in most bands : Max output power is now 1000 Watt (in stationary mode) and 1500 Watt allowed when participating in international contests.
